Foxborough, MA based Quick Hit has scored a multi-year license from the NFL for its Internet-only, free-to-play football browser game, thanks to loophole in EA exclusivity contract.  Read about it at the following links:

Foxborough-based social sports games developer Quick Hit has signed a distribution deal with the largest gaming site on the web, IGN, which will make its Quick Hit Football game available through its network of sites, including Direct2Drive, FilePlanet, AskMen and IGN.com.

Interesting article in Venture Beat by Dean Takahashi on trends in the video game industry. Trends 5, 7, 10 and 11 bode well for Massachusetts companies Viximo, WorldWinner, Motus Games, and Quick Hit, respectively.

Foxboro, MA based Play Hard Sports recently announced that it has changed its name to Quick Hit (as well as signed long-time Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher as the voice of the company’s free-to-play online football game). The new branding is being unveiled as part of a re-launch of the company’s website at www.quickhit.com.
